How we verify every listing
No pay-to-play. A company is listed when a state license list names it and its phone or name matches an open Google profile.
The state license lists
| State | List | Entries | Planned re-read | Read |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Arkansas | Licensed sprinkler companies (2026/2027, updated 7/10/26) (Arkansas Fire Protection Licensing Board) | 110 | monthly | October 6, 2026 |
| Arkansas | Portable and fixed systems companies (2025-2026, revised 4/1/2026) (Arkansas Fire Protection Licensing Board) | 101 | monthly | October 6, 2026 |
| Oklahoma | Fire extinguisher industry company licenses (10-4-26) (Oklahoma State Fire Marshal) | 116 | monthly | October 6, 2026 |
- Arkansas: Legend printed on the PDF: P = portable license, F = fixed system license, A and B = class A and B hydrostatic license.
- Oklahoma: License flags printed on the list: Portable, Pre-engineered Kitchen, Pre-engineered Industrial, Engineered. The individual license list (same page) gives each company's licensed technicians.
States we are not covering yet
Texas and Tennessee license fire protection companies but publish search pages rather than lists, so they come later. Missouri has no statewide license for these companies; local fire marshals regulate them.
From license lists to listings
The Arkansas lists name each licensed company office with its license number; the Oklahoma list names each licensed company and a separate list names its licensed technicians. One company holding several licenses at one office is shown once with every license. We then look the office up on Google. It is listed only when its phone matches, or its name matches in the same town, and Google shows it open. Every licensed office appears in the license tables on the state pages either way. We never publish technicians' names.
The quality score
Every office gets a 0 to 100 score: on a state license list (30), a phone (30), a matching open Google profile (20), a website (10) and more than one license or licensed technician (10). Below 70 it stays unpublished. Nobody can pay to change the score or the order.
Rules, intervals and prices
Every rule, inspection interval and price on this site links to the page it came from. We keep a short quote from that page, matched against the page on the day we read it. Prices are shown as published, never averaged.
Corrections and removal
Email pros@fireinspectornear.com. License facts are corrected against the state list; a business can ask to be removed and we remove it the same day.
